Dope Smack aka Alex Santos

Since the ruthless killing of his father that left him orphaned, Alex Santos has wanted to be a superhero. His dream is to one day avenge his fathers death. That dream becomes a reality when he and his loyal best friend, Buddy, invent a bullet proof supersuit. He becomes the hero known as Dope Smack. Fueled by the painful memory of his fathers death, he takes down ruthless criminals. The stakes rise when he realizes the underworld of the city is being taken over by a gangster with real superpowers. A chance meeting with a young girl with real super abilities gives Alex the superpowers he needs to hunt down and face this evil. As he fights to save the city, his larger than life dreams have finally come true, but at what cost?

BlackasNight aka Buddy

Big but gentle, operating with a positive outlook on life, Buddy is wise beyond his years, although he sometimes seems a little slow. He's been Alex’s best friend ever since Alex saved him from bullies at their orphanage. Buddy is ready to follow Alex into any plan, even a career as superheroes. He joins Alex on his crime fighting journey to find out that even though his friend is brilliant, he doesn’t always make the best choices. Buddy’s optimism and loyalty will be tested by the brutal realities of trying to be superheroes in the real world. Sometimes the cost of being a sidekick, is greater than being a superhero.

Anexis

Her teenage appearance hides great power and great pain. Anexis was born in a lab as part of a military experiment, with the hope that she would develop powers for use in war. Because she hid her abilities, she was designated for “termination”, but she escaped, revealing she is by far the most powerful of all their creations. Now, she wanders the city, hiding out, feeling like an outcast, silently craving a normal life. When she runs into Alex she finally meets a human that seems to think she is special, but even he wants to use her for his “war against evil”. Tired of being used for wars, she gives him what he wants the most, superpowers. Now she just hopes he leaves her alone and fights his own battles. When it comes to Dope Smack, things are never that simple. She is forced to confront her past and realizes the other super children from her childhood are now all grown up and using their powers for evil.

Chief Murphy

A grizzled, cynical but honest veteran of the NOPD. Clear headed with a smart mouth and a straight shot, he has recently started thinking about retirement. Now with a string of murders by the mysterious Samael and a man dressed as a superhero trying to fight crime, the chief now thinks he may need to speed up his retirement. Before that happens, he wants to solve these murders. That choice takes him down an unpredictable path. When he discovers that his police force is compromised, he has to make the unimaginable choice to team up with Dope Smack and take down Samael before the villain takes the entire city by force.

Samael

From the darkness of a lab, Samael was made to be a weapon of extreme power. It’s no wonder that he escaped to take over the city. He quickly gained power in the streets, using his gifts of violently controlling electricity to eliminate foes. He grew hungry for more. His ultimate goal? To control the entire criminal underworld of the city of Arcadia. His deadly expansion works perfectly, until, a mysterious vigilante begins to foil his drug dealers, destroying his cash flow. He discovers that Dope Smack is more than a vigilante and is being assisted by another laboratory creation, Anexis, who Samael considers a sister. In his quest for power he intends to force them to join his team or be destroyed.

Super Soldier

More efficient than the most advanced computer, the Super Soldier is the most lethal creation of Agent X, the mysterious operative that created Anexis and Samael years ago inside of a top secret military lab. His brutal purpose is to eliminate opponents as swiftly as possible. He’s good at his job. In the beginning, he was one of the weaker creations, as time passed he became the most deadly, with his training and ability to integrate his energetic powers with technology. When Agent X is alerted to the energy signals from Anexis in Arcadia, he sends the Super Solder to retrieve her, kill Samael and destroy anything else that gets in the way. Of course Dope Smack -- get’s in the way. If the Super Soldier wins, there will be a dark future for all of our heroes.
